RSI (Relative Strength Index)

A 0-to-100 gauge of whether a stock may be overbought or oversold.

RSI measures the speed and size of recent price moves. Readings above 70 are often called "overbought" and below 30 "oversold," hinting a move may be stretched. It is a rough guide, not a signal on its own; strong trends can stay overbought or oversold for a long time.

For example

A stock with an RSI of 82 after a sharp run may be due for a pause, but it can keep climbing if the trend is strong.
